After 7 great years with myAgro, our current Country Director is moving on to another professional opportunity.&nbsp; We are now searching for an Interim Country Director to take over in the short-term (3-6 months) while we complete our search for a permanent Country Director for Senegal.&nbsp;&nbsp;

myAgro is looking for an experienced Interim Country Director to manage and lead the team as we kick off the 2023/24 season with a goal to reach 180,000 farmers!&nbsp; You will guide 1-2 Deputy Country Directors, a Senior Sales Manager and a matrixed management team (Logistics, Finance, HR, Technology, Agriculture and Admin) to scale effectively in existing and new districts, including building stronger partnerships that drive significant and measurable growth and impact.

This is a compelling opportunity for a seasoned Country Director to join a respected data-driven organization during a period of scale as we look to grow the number of village-entrepreneurs (our sales team on the ground) we support in the country to more than 5,000 by 2026. Our farmer goal is to grow from 80,000 today in Senegal to 600,000 farmers in the next 3 years. Your support to get the 2023/24 season successfully launched will be a key to long-term success of the program.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Interim Country Director will also be a primary contributor driving organizational effectiveness, implementing a road-map of sales acceleration, and setting the future for sustainable expansion.&nbsp;

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, have demonstrable people management skills, and has a proven track record of strong problem solving.&nbsp;

Note on location: The headquarters for Senegal’s operations is in Thies. The Country Director is expected to work from Thies at least 3 days a week, and the other 2 days can be from our Dakar Global Headquarters. A free shuttle travels between Dakar and Thies every morning between our two offices.

Our ideal candidate is probably currently working in a large NGO or intergovernmental aid agency managing operations. From their position, she or he has managed one or more functions at country-level (e.g. Finance, Operations, Logistics etc.) and has a deep understanding of cross-functional planning and implementation.&nbsp;

From this experience, he or she can help myAgro deliver high quality operations on the ground every day, while simultaneously planning and monitoring multiple workstreams of activity. The ideal candidate does not have to be an expert in agriculture or ag finance, but does have experience in the social sector and in country operations. They need to be agile and collaborative with demonstrated experience in execution and an eye for detail. Finally, he or she can demonstrate that they can work and thrive in a multicultural and international environment.&nbsp;

myAgro is seeking a dynamic, engaging and skilled Deputy Country Director (DCD). The DCD will have delegated responsibility from the Country Director to own the management of the following functions at Country level:

The DCD will be responsible for overseeing the operations of these functions and aligning their work closely with the overall Country objectives, as well as with our core programs of Sales and Agriculture.

The DCD will be accountable for leading the planning and management of significant budgets and complex financial processes, as well as for our mission critical work in procuring and delivering seeds and fertilizers to our farmers ahead of season.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Finance Manager will focus on helping manage an excellent and scalable financial operation to support myAgro’s growth. You will support&nbsp; all aspects of budgeting, financial systems, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, audit, and grants in Mali. You will also focus on the preparation and evaluation of accounting and providing the data needed for generating management reports.

myAgro is seeking two Development Relationship Managers who are enthusiastic self-starters responsible for organizing and driving myAgro’s fundraising. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and working with the Development team, the Development Relationship Managers will steward a portfolio of foundation and corporate partnerships while also looking for funding from new sources. The Development Relationship Managers will research new funding opportunities; submit letters of interest, applications, proposals, and reports; coordinate meetings and presentations with funders and team members; maintain alignment with myAgro’s finance and programs departments; and serve as a primary contact for main funding relationships. Teamwork is important to the success of this position, working collaboratively to drive giving that supports myAgro’s mission, programs, and fundraising goals.

The Development Team ensures myAgro has the resources to implement its ambitious North Star of serving 1 million farmers by 2026. To do this, we are connected to each other, other teams, the field, and donors. We are productive to ensure we meet our fundraising goals.
