Salesforce is one of the strategic technology platforms enabling the client facing teams at NinetyOne.&nbsp; Although one environment, there are two products utilising the Salesforce platform:&nbsp; Sales &amp; Client Management and Operational Servicing.&nbsp;

As our business grows and adapts to the needs of our clients, the product teams need to continuously development and enhance our technology solutions accordingly.&nbsp; We make the decision to develop in-house where it adds most value to the business, but also blend that with vendor products where there is already a market leading product available. This role will focus on designing and developing technical solutions for the Operational Servicing product globally using the Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud platform but will also need to recommend and use other technologies where relevant.

The team prides itself on its ability to deliver high quality solutions in an agile manner by ensuring projects are small, well defined and have high payoff to the business. Agility also requires us to keep abreast of technological advancements and how they can benefit the Operational teams.

The Operational Servicing product forms part of the wider Client Technology team which is made up of product owners, business analysts, technical analysts and developers whose responsibility is to deliver technology and operational solutions to the global Client Group (Distribution) and their supporting team.

Ninety One Information Technology are recruiting Software Engineers to deliver product enhancements directly to the business within Research, Trade Management, Client Technology and Data Technology. The roles will best suit full-stack Software Engineers who may have experience across different industries; although previous Financial Services or Asset Management will be an advantage.

Ninety One Information Technology is responsible for the delivery of systems and applications to enable the business to perform the full life cycle of an investment from Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Performance, Research and Client Reporting all enabled via our core Data-as-a-Service strategy and dynamic Infrastructure.

We make the decision to develop in-house where it adds most value to the business, but also blend that with vendor products where there is already a market leading product available. There is a preference for the candidate to have a range of data related skills from design through to data surfacing techniques.

Software Engineer

Our Product Development team operates as a global business unit, with team members based in both the London and Cape Town offices and interacts closely with Ninety One’s other teams around the world including the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia. This role will be based in Cape Town, but with a global remit across Ninety One’s worldwide product suite and related activities. This exciting role supports work on new product and investment strategy development, and management of existing products and strategies, across Ninety One’s global business. Our Products include a variety of investment strategies (e.g. Equity, Multi-Asset, Fixed Income, Alternatives) in multiple types of investment vehicles (e.g. SICAVs, Units Trusts, Hedge Funds) so the opportunity for growth is extensive.

The role will evolve as you grow in experience and product knowledge and includes the following:

You will be involved from idea generation to implementation including identifying client needs, researching and interpreting competitor offerings and market trends, product design and launching of new products.

This includes ongoing work to ensure our products and ranges evolve to meet client demands, regulatory changes and commercial requirements. You will be involved in supporting work on industry-level interaction (like ASISA), lobbying and peer group analysis as well as supporting various stakeholders, both internal and external. &nbsp;

Product Developer

Ninety One is looking for a Cloud Engineer in Cape Town to join the Infrastructure team. The role will be focussed on driving infrastructure automation, CI/CD and DevOps across the business.

Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Provide a first point of contact to the business to enable efficient and effective restoration of incidents and requests for service (not requiring a desktop touch).&nbsp;

Responsibilities include initial assessment, prioritization, triage and resolution of incidents and requests regarding the use of business application software products and/or user technology components.&nbsp;

Collect information to users via phone, email or skype and follow procedures to resolve or transfer.

Monitor application batch processing, respond to core incidents and communicate system availability.

Escalate advanced or long-running cases to higher-level IT support specialists if unable to resolve
