Data Engineer (Totally Remote)

Think like a scientist; build like a software engineer. Data Engineers create robust and scalable computing environments which bring data-driven technologies to users.Our client is constantly on the lookout for new challenges to build more effective data architectures, flexing their freedom to incorporate new technologies and expand their computing power. They are visionary in providing solutions on critical infrastructure and core strategic problems and are currently on the hunt for Data Engineers!Strong candidates will have a mix of the following:

• Fluency in the Python machine learning ecosystem
• A strong degree in a quantitative discipline
• Fluency with Statistics and working on Quantitative systems
• The willingness to bring a hacking mindset to statistical models of real-world phenomena
• The drive to learn and build things outside of their formal education or employment

Technical skills, knowledge & Experience:

• Azure really beneficial
• Masters and PHDs are preferred
• Formal Data Science qualification preferred
• Mixed backgrounds and experience, ranging from startups to big companies
• Open to industries
• Ability to face clients and do presentations and present present complicated solutions and data to non-technical people in a structured way
• 2-5 years of experience
• Experience in designing API’s
• Ability to work with unstructured problems (Algorithms)
• Able to adapt and solve and navigate through innovation and disruptive environment
• Extreme passion and excitement for the disruptive future in the utility industry and want to make an impact
