Paid Internship: Build an exam proctoring system using computer vision

At GEERD, we want to help our clients in their digital transition by developing software that is tailored to their need. Our academic clients, such as school and universities, use our online assessments platform to enable candidates and students to take online tests and exams. In order to reduce the experience difference between in-class tests and online tests, we want to prevent our platform's users from cheating. We can do that by adding proctoring features to our platforms, that will record the user's behavior through the camera and microphone of their laptops, and run complex algorithms to detect cheating.

You will work on:

  • Analyzing the problem
  • Gathering the required data.
  • Training a computer vision model.
  • Measuring the accuracy and the risks.
  • Deploying the model into production

What we are looking for:

  • You take pride in what you create and passionate about getting the details right, even when no one's looking.
  • You are able to weigh tradeoffs, articulate complex ideas, and have precision about what you know and don't know.
  • You enjoy staying on top of tech trends and hacking new things.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. At the end of this internship, you will have to write an article that describes the methodology followed, the obstacles you faced, and the results of the work.
We are GEERD to build innovative learning and collaborative tools that are dedicated to give experts new ways to teach and share excellence, build a and empower a culture of research and enhance student success through providing universities in the effective application and implementation of instructional technologies.
