QA Engineer

We are a fast-growing marketing technology start-up based in Mainz, Germany. Founded in 2015, Mailtastic has been part of the international Cognism Group since May 2020 following a successful acquisition with other offices in London, New York, Cape Town, and other cities around the world. In addition to the further development of Mailtastic, we will focus on the Go2Market in other countries in the upcoming months.

Your Tasks...

Your responsibility will be to assess software quality through manual and automated testing and maintain the testing protocols, as well as creating various testing documentation.

You will be balancing the Product documentation with the software requirements and the implementation possibilities of our Dev team. Solid communication skills and the ability to work with different teams/colleagues on projects are essential to this role.

As the successful candidate you should also have a keen eye for detail, be efficient and, well-organized. Flexibility, the ability to multi-task, and self-motivation are crucial, as you will need to anticipate any challenges or changes that may occur in a rapidly expanding start-up.

Responsibilities...

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design to provide feedback
• Create detailed, well-structured plans and test cases
• Coordinate, prioritize, and estimate testing activities
• Develop, design, and execute automation scripts
• Perform thorough regression testing and keep track of bugs and vulnerabilities
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Work together with the software developers to enhance and improve app

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in in software development and software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySql (preferable), C++, XML
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Good time-management skills
• You enjoy communicating with people and are a good team player
