Research - Data Analyst

IDC Egypt is looking for a business professional to join our team in Cairo, Egypt, as a Research/ Data Analyst to support our IPDS research business which covers a range of technologies.

Responsibilities

The Research Analyst will demonstrate ability to process large data sets, work with IDC systems, respond to internal enquiries, and support with data in ad-hoc consulting projects. In addition the Research Analyst will work to continuously strengthen and improve the back-end systems and workflows.

• Data processing and entry into systems, focused on print and PC monitor hardware technologies for Middle East and Africa;
• Strong Excel and Access skills required (pivot tables, macros, vba code etc.)
• Ability to work with large and often incomplete data sets;
• Previous experience as data scientist / analyst a strong plus;
• Work with and master IDC proprietary software and analysis tools;
• Strict adherence to deadlines set by Worldwide schedules;
• Strong analytical skills with ability to spot and draw inferences from market data across device technologies.

Qualifications

• University degree from a well-recognized university
• 3-5 years of similar experience
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Previous experience with data entry
