Job Description:

As a Volunteer Business Development Manager with HealthNet Clinics in Uganda, you will play a crucial role in driving the organization's growth and impact. Your primary responsibility will be to identify strategic opportunities, forge partnerships, and develop sustainable business models to support our mission. Your role will involve the following responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Conduct market research and analysis to identify healthcare needs, trends, and opportunities in Uganda and other target regions.

Work closely with the management team to develop and refine the organization's business strategies and growth plans.

Identify new markets, revenue streams, and partnership opportunities to expand our reach.

Partnership Development:

Build and maintain relationships with healthcare facilities, hospitals, and other potential partners in Uganda and beyond.

Negotiate and establish agreements and partnerships that support the organization's objectives and enhance our service offerings.

Collaborate with partners to develop joint initiatives and innovative healthcare solutions.

Business Model Innovation:

Identify and develop sustainable business models that align with HealthNet Clinics' mission and values.

Explore innovative financing mechanisms, including the buy now pay later model, to increase healthcare affordability.

Conduct feasibility studies and financial analysis to assess the viability and scalability of new business models.

Supply Chain Management:

Coordinate the timely and consistent supply of medicines and medical equipment to our partner healthcare facilities.

Collaborate with our pharmaceutical and equipment network to ensure reliable and quality supplies.

Monitor inventory levels, facilitate procurement processes, and maintain effective supply chain management practices.

Fundraising and Grant Writing:

Develop funding proposals, grant applications, and sponsorship packages to secure financial support for our initiatives.

Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and investors to attract funding and resources for the organization.

Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling fundraising materials and impact reports.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, International Development, or a related field.

Proven experience in business development, strategic planning, and partnership management, preferably in the healthcare sector.

Strong understanding of healthcare systems, market dynamics, and business models in Uganda and Africa.

Excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and develop creative solutions.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.

Familiarity with healthcare software solutions, supply chain management, or pharmaceuticals is advantageous.

Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 months (flexible) in Uganda.
