Job Description:

The Android developer will have as primary focus the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. He will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Main duties:

• Design, creation and maintenance of applications for the Android platform
• Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design and dispatch new functionalities
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain the quality of code, documentation, organization and automation

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of the Android SDK, different versions of Android and the management of different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of the design principles, models and best practices of the Android user interface
• Experience with offline storage, threading and performance tuning
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as "touch"
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries for common tasks
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• A talent for benchmarking and optimization
• A good understanding of code version management tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
• Master level highly recommended, not compulsory.

Ce que vous allez faire

• Conception, création et maintenance des applications pour la plateforme Android
• Assurer la performance, la qualité et la réactivité des applications
• Collaborer avec une équipe pour définir, concevoir et expédier de nouvelles fonctionnalités
• Identifier et corriger les goulots d'étranglement et corriger les bugs
• Aider à maintenir la qualité du code, la documentation, l'organisation et l'automatisation

Ce dont vous avez besoin

• Maîtrise parfaite des langues (français et anglais)
• Une solide connaissance du SDK Android, des différentes versions d'Android et de la gestion des différentes tailles d'écran
• Familiarité avec les API RESTful pour connecter des applications Android à des services back-end
• Une solide connaissance des principes de conception, des modèles et des meilleures pratiques de l'interface utilisateur Android
• Une expérience avec le stockage hors connexion, le threading et le réglage des performances
• La Capacité à concevoir des applications autour d'interfaces utilisateur naturelles, telles que « tactile »
• Familiarité avec l'utilisation de capteurs supplémentaires, tels que des gyroscopes et des accéléromètres
• Une connaissance de l'écosystème Android open-source et des bibliothèques disponibles pour les tâches courantes
• Familiarité avec les API de message en nuage et les notifications push
• Un talent pour le benchmarking et l'optimisation
