Over the last four years, we’ve built and deployed a lifesaving platform and assembled the largest network of ambulances and first responders in East Africa. Our platform has reduced response times by more than 80% and saved thousands of lives from previously impossible situations. We are expanding our operations and looking for passionate, hardworking, and effective senior executives to spearhead this next phase of growth.

The team: We are 30+ business & ops specialists, software engineers, and emergency dispatchers based in Nairobi and operating throughout Kenya. We are a goal-driven and results-oriented team focused on continuous improvement of our technologies and dispatch operations. We value agility, grit, and innovation.


Who you are: an experienced Business Development and Sales Executive with proven track record or initiating and closing deals within a range of sectors and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Rescue.co clients and partners are a diverse group ranging from SMEs to large multinational businesses and organizations. We provide varying tech and rescue solutions, tailored toward their needs and our business relationship. You must have a strong understanding of different sales techniques and approaches, combined with expert communication skills and analytical abilities. This combination will be critical in identifying opportunities and spearheading client relationships, throughout the origination to deal-close process.

You should be able to anticipate how decisions are made within organisations, persistently explore and uncover business needs of prospective clients, and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business.

What you’ll be doing: You will be the first point of contact for new and prospective clients. You will assess market and vertical opportunities and identify prospects using online and offline methods. You will be responsible for meeting new clients and defining partnership models that suit the client’s business model and operations structure in order to close deals and improve product uptake. Your performance will be measured by your ability to grow our membership and client base.

Basic requirements for the role:

  • Minimum of 7 years' B2B sales experience either as part of a business development team or consultancy/agency.
  • Proven track record of signing new partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills; you know how to translate your customers' needs into clear solutions.
  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and grow client relationships and extensive experience interacting with senior executives and account managers in both professional and social settings.
  • Solid understanding of business drivers (P/L, Operating Statement, COGS, Revenue, etc.).

Things that will make you stand out:

  • Experience in selling new solutions to large organizations and/or consulting experience in healthcare or health supply & logistics.
  • Experience working with/in health insurance, auto insurance, life insurance, tourism sales, brokerages/agents, transportation or startups/professional service firms.
  • Experience in fast growing start-ups.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude.
  • Advanced Google docs, sheets/Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in design or ability to make compelling presentations.
