The Design Researcher - UX will be expected to design and conduct research projects with the goal of continuous improvement of user experience, which will require that the candidate develops a deep understanding of the user persona, user flows and app usability. To achieve this goal, the candidate should be adept at as many of the following tools/methods as possible:
Responsibilities
- Collect data on consumers, competitors, market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
- Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
- Conducting various forms of quantitative and qualitative research, including focus groups, surveys, ethnographic research, as well as other relevant research method
- For quantitative research methods, compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods, and interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
- Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases
- Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices
- Advocate research findings within the company to ensure data-driven decision making
- Work closely with cross functional teams to identify research needs
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in performing qualitative and/or quantitative research
- Passionate about market research analysis and data
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of statistical packages like SPSS, SAS or similar is a plus
- Familiarity with databases is a plus
- Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
- Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- BS degree in Statistics, Marketing or Social Sciences
