Director of Security
Summary
The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Director of Security to help develop, cultivate and progress our security and privacy programs.
The Director of Security will join the other Engineering Directors at Wikimedia who support engineers and designers building features, products, and services used by hundreds of millions of people around the world. This is an opportunity to do good while improving the security, privacy, resilience, scalability, and maintainability of one of the top 15 websites in the world.
You will be leading a team responsible for building our culture of security and ensuring the security and integrity of our software development and technical operations, including open source applications with a wide variety of technologies and stack components, hosted in colocated data centers around the world and in the cloud. This position will report to the Vice President of Engineering.
This is a remote position; open to most locations in the world. Some travel required.
