Financial Accountant

Would you like to be responsible for delivering the foundations and insights that enables forecasting, budgeting, auditing and other key process to ensure an effective finance department? We are hiring a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for the financial records of the BBOXX Africa Management office.

About the role
Preparation of monthly management and financial accounts in accordance with prescribed formats, timescales and procedures;
Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts at prescribed frequencies;
Attendance and presentation of financial information at business development meetings;
Liaison with Group entities for intercompany transactions and reconciliations;
Investigation of significant items of cost, variance or over-spend with operational management;
Liaison with internal and external audit personnel to ensure adherence to internal controls;
Assistance in Group Projects;
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded;
Ensure proper declaration and filing of taxes;
Resolving any internal or external issues surrounding outstanding invoices
Running reports and providing information to the senior management team as required

About you
Bachelor degree holder with at least 3 years of experience in either audit related and/or business support activities, and strong control mindset
Big 4 Audit Firm experience is desirable but not essential
Part qualified/qualified Chartered Accountant/ CPA/ ACCA
Strong English and French communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong project and time management skills
Good communicator who can manage multiple stakeholders, keen to drive consensus and influence the outcomes
Excellent team player who is enthusiastic, motivated to learn and detailed oriented
