Insights Software Engineer

Software EngineerFrom applied research to advanced engineering, Dell Technologies CTO Team’s Technology Insights Group is solutions that bring together advanced technologies such as AI, cloud, data management, data science/engineering, and visualization. You will be involved in assessing the market, developing technology, products, and generating intellectual property. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners.We are looking for a Software Engineer for our CTO Technology Insights team, based in Cairo, Egypt, who has a strong background in highly scalable distributed systems with experience working in an agile engineering team and a knack for researching new technologies. Candidates should display abilities to innovate and be creative.What You’ll AchieveAs a Software Engineer, you will work with a cross-functional global team to design, build and deliver production-ready software with Dell standards.You Will

• Develop high quality, reliable and maintainable code
• Design and Build a cloud-native platform using cutting edge technologies
• Write tested and maintainable code
• Be agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we’re doing wrong so we can fix it, and what we’re doing right so we can improve on it

Take the first step towards your dream careerEssential RequirementsEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

• 1 to 3 years of experience building highly available and scalable systems
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Go, Python, Java and/or C++
• Experience with object oriented programming, Microservices, REST API design, GRPC and databases
• Good knowledge in Container Technologies and Kubernetes
• Good knowledge in Linux and bash scripting

Desirable Requirements

• Data Science knowledge
• Contributions to large open-source projects
