Who We Are:

Jambo is the mobile apps division of The FX Spuka & Safari Group LTD (Ghana) and The FX Spuka LLC (USA). Our mission is simple, simplifying lives through modern technology, thus helping improve the quality of lives within the communities we operate. Jambo is a platform base app, housing multiple services (currently: Jambo Rides, J-Dash, Safari, and ChopTime).

Our Expectations:

Join our team as a full-time Flutter developer and help lead the expansion of the Closers application for iOS, Android, and web. We need a self-starter with deep experience contributing to and managing large-scale production applications in a fast paced startup environment. This position is part of an expanding team of seasoned full-stack developers who are passionate about their craft. Our ideal candidate has a passion for tackling new challenges and is comfortable taking ownership of a product while communicating clearly and regularly with our team.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 4+ years experience in mobile app development (required)
  2. 3+ years experience in Flutter/Dart (required)
  3. At least a basic understanding of web development: HTML. CSS, Javascript, backend frameworks, etc.
  4.  We expect you to be fluent with iOS, Android, web dev, and cross-platform technologies. Dart and Flutter are part of our CORE technologies. You will be an engineering lead responsible for solving complex, cross-functional problems with an understanding of the tradeoffs between OS native applications and cross-platform solutions
  5. Solid understanding of the full web/mobile development life-cycle including automated testing, build processes, and related deployment methodologies
  6. Experience with third-party and/or internal libraries + APIs and integrating using REST
  7. Monitor application performance, identify and fix software bugs, and upgrade third party packages to keep applications up to date.
  8. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
  9. Working with CI/CD pipelines
  10. Experience with Firebase
  11. Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies
  12. Design and UI/UX skills are added advantages

We are currently operating a ride hailing service (Jambo rides) and package delivery (J-Dash) in our maiden app known as Jambo. We also have two (2) upcoming services within the same app (ChopTime, an e-Restaurant and Safari, an e-Mall). Our mission is to take the Simple Ideas, build them into usable apps and Simplify the daily lives of Our Communities. On top of it all, where possible, we want Our Communities to be able to leave their lives simply in ONE app.
