The Company
We are a fast-growing non-profit social enterprise with offices in the Netherlands, Portugal, India, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Triggerise builds digital platforms that motivate users - primarily young women and adolescent girls - to make positive choices. We work together with local communities and use nudges like reminders, discounts, and reward points to encourage our users to access and use health products and services. We also support our users in becoming entrepreneurs and adding value to their economies.

For this position, we are open to remote work and will happily accept applicants from any Triggerise Location (Portugal, South Africa, Amsterdam, Kenya, Ethiopia, India).

The Job 

You will be responsible for ensuring that our mobile app is able to function, and are in charge of the full mobile apps development cycle.

  • You apply the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of our mobile software.
  • You modify and tailor the app based on our automated frameworks and feedback from the field.
  • You make sure our mobile apps are secure and safe with regard to information security and personal data.

About you

Having experience with mobile development and the principles of design, development maintenance, and more, you're excited by technology and passionate about utilizing it for social impact.

  • You’re a natural problem solver and naturally logical - you are always pioneering for the best solution.
  • You’ve experienced working in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Technical experience with Kotlin and firebase.

Nudges might include discounts, digital or in-person conversations, follow-ups, reminders, or rewards points that users can redeem in local stores. A relevant journey for the user, created around her needs, which simultaneously strengthens local economies How? Using the Triggerise platform. We are a digital platform. Imagine Netflix. But instead of films and tv shows, we aggregate another kind of content - sexual reproductive health solutions - which we provide for people in developing countries and emerging markets. The goal? Motivating healthy behaviour. Our platform includes two kinds of infrastructure: 1) Technology: The websites, apps, SMS, and membership cards that people use to engage with our platform; and 2) Partnerships: Service providers, entrepreneurs, content creators, retailers, wholesalers, and product distributors support us in providing key offerings. The platform reaches all potential users regardless of technology access, proficiency, or even literacy.
