Sales Manager

Zeelo is a leading B2B bus-sharing company, providing smart transportation services for commuting and school runs. We use data and technology to find and digitalise fixed bus routes, targeting areas of high private car usage (“public transportation deserts”),as well as areas with inconvenient and unsafe public transport options, in order to connect people to places via sustainable transport; selling to B2B partners (companies, industrial sites, business parks, schools) and working with local bus and coach fleets to operate at the times they are needed. We are live in the UK, USA, Italy and South Africa

We are looking for a driven and proven Sales Manager to join our South African sales team. As Key accounts and Sales Manager, you will identify new opportunities, understand the needs of prospects and close and sign new B2B customers in your assigned region or vertical; navigating enterprise finance and procurement teams to close deals to reach our ambitious growth targets

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for building a robust, fulsome and validated sales pipeline
  • Prospecting, cold calling, reaching out and having discussions with clients
  • Achieve growth and hit sales quotas
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs; working closely with the Customer Success team as new opportunities arise, as well as renewals
  • Validate and assess potential client opportunities
  • Give market feedback to the product team regarding the Zeelo offering

You should have:

  • 5+ years of B2B or Enterprise sales experience with a proven track record of closing deals over R2 000 000 per year with multiple stakeholders
  • A self-starter, keen, ambitious and hungry to get results. Relentless and experienced in reaching out to leads and generating sales
  • A proactive nature - an ability to take initiative and 'get things done', making your own decisions about which opportunities to focus on
  • Excellent verbal, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen; able to understand the needs of a customer and design a solution that works for all parties
  • Organised and and able to work independently to achieve sales quota, often working remotely

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Experience selling complex solutions in transportation or logistics
