Senior Data Scientist



  • Implement and deploy robust, state-of-the-art algorithms in one or more of creation, curation and calibration of user-profiles, recommendation systems, and machine-learned search and retrieval systems using natural language interfaces
  • Convert analytical objectives to well-defined data requirements. Extract, clean, and transform data for purposes of analysis, modelling and reporting
  • Define, test, validate, and refine hypotheses to establish viable product use cases
  • Translate, document and communicate (written and verbal) statistical and analytical results and provide conclusions and recommendations based on data to internal/external stakeholders, oftentimes with a non-technical background
  • Work closely with other data scientists and data engineers, while collaborating productively with the Technology, Product, Marketing, and Business teams.   


  • 5+ years industry experience in data science and machine learning
  • Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics, Statistics
  • Fluent in Python, SQL
  • Solid fundamentals of probability, statistics, mathematical optimization, and machine learning.
  • Proficient with Python data science libraries (numpy, scipy, spacy, etc.)
  • Proficient with R, Matlab or other statistical computing languages
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like map-reduce, NoSQL, Spark, HBase, Hive
  • A record of published patents and/or peer-reviewed conference/journal publications will be considered a big plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with across teams
