Design HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript Shopify PHP .huBI Sketch

iKhokha is searching for a Senior Web Designer.

We’re looking for someone exceptional that can code the iKhokha website’s structure whilst breathing life into the creative vision to guide users to take action. Your designs will be aesthetically pleasing, seamless and above all, user focused.

So, what will you do?

You will work closely with our Creative, Data and Growth teams to update the website and internal web tools to make them more efficient.

You will create innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the website more visually appealing and enhance usability.

You will focus on the ongoing development and maintenance of the brand and ecommerce website as well as any consumer facing microsites iKhokha may plan to launch in the future.

The deal breakers:

5 plus years’ experience with the below technologies:

HTML 5
CSS3 – With experience in creating animations
Javascript

Any relevant experience with the below technologies:

Shopify / .liquid
.huBl
PHP or similar
Expert in converting visual compositions (PSD/Sketch) into HTML and CSS markup

Able to showcase examples or talk through previous work done on projects utilizing some or all of the above technologies in a production environment.

What would you be responsible for?

Designing and implementing webpage layout.

Determining technical requirements.

Updating websites.

Solving code problems.

Basic web design.

Animation.

Multimedia design.

Content management.

High attention to detail, capable of pixel-perfect page construction that performs well across browsers in responsive implementations.

Highly skilled with Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch.

Must write clean, semantic, valid markup and modular, cascading, reusable CSS.

Solid demonstrated experience writing/using JavaScript and jQuery.

Must have knowledge of HTML5 tags.

Strong work ethic, a drive for success and a proactive attitude.

Is analytical and creative with excellent organizational skills - Is able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously without errors.

Understands the big picture and detailed design implications (business/technical) of the design direction.

Must be a friendly team player who enjoys challenges and learning new skills and techniques.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with teams.
