Software Quality Automation Engineer (Automotive)

As a Software Quality Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the SDK team, working to improve and implement our software quality engineering. This Software QE role consists of mostly writing automated tests to extend our current production automation test suite.  Programming skills are required for automation script writing. The ability to juggle varied requirements with the different development teams is essential.

Responsibilities

Test all aspects of the SDK, including function/component, system, performance, regression and service.

• Writing/Modifying test automation scripts
• Execute test plans with diligence and care. Perform ad hoc testing as need be.
• Document test plans, test cases, test tools, test processes, and test results (internal and customer-facing) for presentation to stakeholders
• Daily communication with local and remote teams
• Report open/fixed bugs along with each customer deliverable

Qualifications

• Strong automation script writing skills
• 2-5 years python or other scripting language experience

Skills and Technologies

Must Have

• 2 - 5 years professional software development
• A test-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail

Nice to Have

• AWS or other cloud computing knowledge
• ASIL functional safety knowledge/experience
• ASPICE automotive coding best practice experience

Experience

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent
• 2-5 years QA development experience
• Agile development environment experience
• Working with remote teams
