Sr. Back-end Engineer Ruby Only!

Our client a global venture backed IT Firm with a mission of making building wealth together frictionless for 3 billion un- and underbanked. is looking for an experienced backend engineer to join their Engineering Team. You will be part of our Integrations Squad, ensuring our digital banking platform is deeply imbedded into existing infrastructure

Your responsibilities

• Championing high-quality software design and architecture
• Maintaining and extending the backend infrastructure that powers our clients apps for scale
• Looking after and developing our clients OPEN API and corresponding integrations
• Developing new integration components that are reusable across the our clients products
• Actively proposing and implementing solutions to ensure the platform is secure, reliable and available
• Liaising with product and engineering to ensure features are implemented following a shared vision.
• Stay on the leading edge of software development practices and dependencies updates

Requirements

Your qualifications

• You've enjoyed writing in Ruby for 4+ years
• You have great communication and stakeholder management skills
• You take ownership of the code from architecture to deployment
• You have experience with relational databases and modelling entities and their relationships
• You write tests and ensure critical features are always working as expected
• You care about the security implications of your choice
