Systems Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities
- Be part of a dynamic team looking after the Indie Platform, responsibilities will include ensuring a secure, highly available, operationally stable and DR enabled environment
- Scripting of the environment and implementing DevOps processes
- Managing and coordinating projects
- Spearhead performance and availability incidents
- Support the platform team with CI/CD automation
- Assist the platform team to identify opportunities for increasing application performance and ultimately client experience
- Introduce innovation by staying abreast of industry trends as well as cloud platform innovation
- Support the platform team in maintaining best practices
- Assist the team with administrative and support tasks.
Our Ideal Candidate
- You have the ability to work on your own, sometimes spearheading a new direction with minimal guidance
- 2 + years experience in architecting, securing and managing AWS
- 2 + years experience with any Linux based operating system
- You know how to optimise a platform to improve responsiveness
- You have experience with Node.JS/Python/Bash
- Cloud and DevOps certifications are a bonus
