This position

The Test Engineer is mainly responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of test cases for both manual and automated testing. You will also work closely with software developers to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Other responsibilities include creating, maintaining and executing test cases against our software platforms, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day to day quality activities end to end.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Requirements Ambiguity Analysis
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
  • Prepare test cases, test scripts and test data.
  • Evaluate and test new or modified software to verify it functions according to user requirements and conforms to established guidelines.
  • Provide estimates for deliverables.
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
  • Document software defects, and report defects to software developers.
  • Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole
  • Develop and automate tests for software validation
  • Prepare file defect reports and report test progress

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ Computer Science or Information Technology
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Testing
  • An understanding of the different uses and methods of testing
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience of working in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in Test Automation
  • Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)
  • Good level in SQL/database
  • Good programming/scripting skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team and as an individual
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Jira is a plus
  • Experience with Java/Javascript is a plus
  • Experience working with Docker is a plus
  • ISTQB is a plus
