UX Designers - Junior-Senior (Microsoft 365 Core Design Team)

The Microsoft 365 Core Design Team is looking for several passionate and self-motivated UX Designers and Motion Designers to help shape the future of intelligence-driven experiences across the Microsoft ecosystem. We are looking to build a team formed by junior and senior designers.

Our primary charters revolve around intelligent People profiles, Content discovery, and Search & Assistant scenarios that are woven into the fabric of the core Microsoft 365 products. You will work across multiple disciplines and geographies, cultivating strong relationships with other Microsoft design stakeholders, and impacting the life of hundreds of millions of people around the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Design, Research, Program Management, and Engineering teams to deliver elegant and engaging end-to-end user experiences across multiple screens and input modalities
  • Develop deep understanding of our customers, their needs and problems
  • Leverage and build upon existing design frameworks and guidelines, deliver visual assets and specs for engineering
  • Be open-minded, responsible, and organized. Follow and contribute to our design processes
  • Be flexible when it comes to managing your time due to an occasional evening meeting

Qualifications

  • Solid portfolio with projects that showcase strong interaction and visual design skills across mobile, web, and/or desktop platforms
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. The working language is English
  • Understanding of current mobile and web technologies, with their constraints. Be willing to push the limits and apply creative solutions that result in great user experiences
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, be able to self-motivate under deadline constraints
  • Ability to articulate and explain your design choices, be open to other people’s feedback, and be willing to iterate
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Experience with using design components and libraries
  • Motion design, prototyping, and UI coding skills are a plus
