As part of its growth plan, AfricaWorks is looking to hire a Marketing Associate reporting to the Marketing Manager.

ROLE DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

As AfricaWorks Marketing Associate, you will be in charge of:

  1. Brand MarketingOvertime, become the “Brand Custodian”.Update, Improve & Manage AfricaWorks Brand Platform.Update, Improve & Manage AfricaWorks Messaging.Update, Improve & Manage AfricaWorks Visual Identity.Develop Brand Awareness & Brand goodwill.

  2. Overtime, become the “Brand Custodian”.
  3. Update, Improve & Manage AfricaWorks Brand Platform.
  4. Update, Improve & Manage AfricaWorks Messaging.
  5. Update, Improve & Manage AfricaWorks Visual Identity.
  6. Develop Brand Awareness & Brand goodwill.

  7. Online Marketing:Websites: In liaison with the Digital Agency, manage & optimize the company’s websites - e.g. content, visuals, SEO etc.
    Social Medias: In liaison with the Digital Agency, manage & optimize the company’s social media.
    Newsletters: manage & optimize the company’s newsletters.

  8. Websites: In liaison with the Digital Agency, manage & optimize the company’s websites - e.g. content, visuals, SEO etc.
  9. Social Medias: In liaison with the Digital Agency, manage & optimize the company’s social media.
  10. Newsletters: manage & optimize the company’s newsletters.

  11. Offline Marketing:Content creation: lead Company’s effort to generate relevant & impactful content.
    Media & Communications: In liaison with the PR Agency, coordinate the Company’s effort to be present, visible & impactful in the media - e.g. drafting of Press Release, update Media Kit & Media Assets, Build database.
    Events Management: Plan & lead the execution of the various Company’s events - e.g. Launch / Opening event

  12. Content creation: lead Company’s effort to generate relevant & impactful content.
  13. Media & Communications: In liaison with the PR Agency, coordinate the Company’s effort to be present, visible & impactful in the media - e.g. drafting of Press Release, update Media Kit & Media Assets, Build database.
  14. Events Management: Plan & lead the execution of the various Company’s events - e.g. Launch / Opening event

  15. Special Projects: on a case by case basis - e.g. manage “AfricaWorks Talks” podcast project.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Passionate.
  2. Bold & agile.
  3. Strong international exposure.
  4. Entrepreneur mindset.
  5. Self-driven, proactive and autonomous.
  6. Detailed oriented & rigorous.
  7. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Strong Project Management skills.
  8. “Can go” attitude / “go getter” mindset.
  9. Educational background in Marketing from a leading international University.
  10. Min 3 years’ experience in a leading international Marketing Agency.
  11. Excellent Online Marketing knowledge.
  12. 360 degree experience in Marketing is must - looking for a generalist profile.
  13. Excellent writing & oral skills in English.
  14. French is a strong plus.
